Board Trustees

Chief Executive

Candidate information

I am very pleased that you are interested in these leadership roles at BPAS.

It’s a hugely exciting time to join us, as we embark on a programme of change and improvement which will ensure we maintain our position as the leading specialists of abortion advice and treatment in the UK.

Our work has never been more important. We have made a number of significant advances over our 55 years in existence, including recent success on issues such as fertility treatment rules for same-sex couples and the release from prison of a woman sentenced to prison for ending her own pregnancy. Yet there is still much to do in ensuring that women have access to the reproductive healthcare, advice and support that they deserve.

After a period of significant growth at a service level in recent years, we are now focused on ensuring that our policies, procedures, and structures are fully suited to the size and scale of the charity we have become. All the indicators are positive, and we expect that this period of intense work and consolidation will be complete by March 2024. With stable finances and a clear mandate for our mission, we will be well-placed to consolidate and extend our work over the coming years.

We are being supported in these appointments by Cadence Partners, and I encourage you to contact them for an informal conversation to explore your suitability for the roles. Once again, many thanks for your interest, and I look forward to meeting you.
